Financial Accountability—Personal Sacrifice & Monthly Matching Challenge
I have attached the annual information return that Ratio Christi provides to the IRS. The purpose of sharing this with you is twofold: First, I want to make sure we are totally transparent about or finances; second, I am asking you to consider helping us toward financial stability by matching a challenge of $2000 per month from a single donor.
Financial Accountability: In our first year, Ratio Christi brought in a little over $70,000 in mostly one-time gifts. We were helped tremendously by a gentleman on our Board that put up a $25,000 matching gift that many people helped with last year. The 990 will give you a general breakdown of how we spent that money.
Personal Sacrifice: To help Ratio Christi get on its feet, the administrative staff and a few of the contractors made a great deal of personal financial sacrifices last year. These sacrifices included the forgoing of salaries and significant reduction in charges for work preformed. The value of this to Ratio Christi is well over $60,000 in reduced cost.
Monthly Matching Challenge: My main focus for Ratio Christi this year is to develop the monthly cash flow to pay our employees, contractors and bills ever month. One donor has put up a $2000 per month challenge to help build this budget. For every dollar you pledge/give monthly toward Ratio Christi, it will be match dollar for dollar.
