Rutgers University

We launched Ratio Christi at Rutgers in October 2011! Our President is Isaac Woodward and our Vice President is Lydia Eck, both philosophy students. Our faculty advisor is Dr. Dean Zimmerman, Dean of Philosophy at Rutgers. We welcome all Rutgers students and faculty to meet weekly to discuss the big questions of life that often go unanswered and unchallenged in the university and the culture. Here are a few of the issues we will be investigating: Can Truth be known? What is tolerance? Is there an objective standard of morality? Does God exist? Which God exists? Are the New Testament documents reliable? Did Jesus claim to be God? Is there evidence for the resurrection of Jesus? Is Jesus the only way to God? If God exists, why is there so much evil? In addition to our weekly meetings, in the Spring of 2012 we will be participating in five Interfaith Panel Discussions featuring Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. At the end of these five forums, we will host a campus wide event featuring a dialogue/debate between Christian scholar Nabeel Quereshi and a TBA Muslim Scholar. In the fall of 2012 we plan to bring a Christian thinker/apologist/philosopher to interact with the students and faculty in the form of a lecture/public discussion in a campus wide event.
