  • Calling out False Teachers...Perry Stone and Biblical examples

Are you a pastor? No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

During my 41 years of agnosticism I never really gave much thought to a pastor’s qualifications. In fact, I didn’t really care. The times I did attend church, which was regularly as a child, the preacher was normally a local guy that worked down the street and preached on Sunday’s. I learned later the term for these individuals is a bi-vocational pastor. And, I understand, many still practice this t...   More

  • Student Testimony - Apologetics as an Aid to Faith's Renewal

Testimonial – Joshua Johnstone, University of North Carolina, Greensboro

I started going to the weekly meetings on Monday nights. Here was a group of intelligent, respectful people who fully and completely believed in the Word. The difficult questions long-seeded in my mind were addressed, one after another, in ways to which I simply could not find a rational counter-argument...

With all the information, available today, in fact, just a mouse click away, it seems it has become more and more difficult to determine “good” information from “bad”. People appear to believe anything they read online. After all, as we all know, if it is on the internet it must be true…So what does this have to d...   More

  • Anti-intellectualism in the American Church is Not a Spiritual Gift

Over the past few months, even years, I have been wrestling with a gnawing issue on why the church is not amenable to apologetics. This is evidenced by the overwhelming anti-intellectualism that has been plaguing the church ever since 1859 when Darwin wrote his On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life as well as other influences.

This post is by no means going to be exhaust...   More

  • 260,000 Reasons to Not Let Your Giving Take a Vacation

    Dear Readers,

There's so much exciting news about what Ratio Christi is accomplishing through the teaching of apologetics to college and high school students, the networking and inroads we are experiencing with schools, churches, families and communities, and the expansion of strategic alliances with new and possible partner organizations.

Every piece of exciting news comes with the challenge of a need and the opportunity to meet that need -- a need to...   More
