Q&A with Jim Wallace

[from God's Not Dead Blog]

How did your role in GOD’S NOT DEAD 2 come about?

The screenwriters of GOD’S NOT DEAD 2 joined Rice Broocks, Gary Habermas (the distinguished New Testament scholar), and me for dinner at the 2014 Evangelical Theological Society conference where we started talking about the general direction of the script and the strength of the case for the historicity and Deity of Jesus. We spent the next 2 hours reviewing the evidence. Several months later, the director emailed me and asked me to be part of the movie.

Why were you interested in being part of GOD’S NOT DEAD 2?

GOD’S NOT DEAD 2 is more than an inspiring fictional movie; it’s also an important opportunity to equip Christians, seekers, and skeptics with the evidence for Christianity. Lee Strobel, Rice Broocks, Gary Habermas, and I hope to ignite an interest in this evidence as part of the cast. Each of us has a small, but important opportunity to entice viewers to dig deeper so they can be more confident of the truth of Christianity.
