  • Spotlight on a Chapter & Director: Eric Chabot of OSU

Q: How did you become a director of Ratio Christi at Ohio State University? What led you to make that decision?

Eric: As a missionary, I was already doing a lot of evangelism and discipleship at The Ohio State campus. I realized there were not any ministries that had any apologetic focus on the campus. I also had seen the first hand results of Christians leaving the faith on the campus. The skepticism is everywhere and is certainly not getting any better.   More

  • Soli Deo Gloria: In Memoriam of RC Student Leader Jordan Slusher

by Joshua Erlien, UNCC Chapter Director

I came to the first meeting not quite sure what to expect. The session was run by the interim director; a young athletic fellow with the characteristic little goatee common today. He was teaching on the tenets and factions of Islam. Very comfortable with speaking to the group, he was articulate and poised.

In the following weeks, I was trying to get a feel for the group and if it was a good fit for me to ser...   More

  • The Reliability of Scripture

On the Evidence 4 Faith Radio Show, Keith and Kirk discuss a study that shows that sex and drugs have more to do with students leaving the faith than just going to college does.  They also look at the problems with permitting homosexual marriage and discuss the evidence that suports the accuracy of the transmission of the scriptures.  (click on the play button below to listen)

  • RC Misunderstood: It Is All About Evangelism (Part Two)

By Rick Schenker, President of Ratio Christi

    (Read Part One here)

One of the main reasons I left public office in 2006 was because I wanted to be more involved in evangelism—the spreading of the gospel. Yet, in a self-assessment of my own abilities, I knew I would make a pretty mediocre preacher.  I figured the last thing the world needed was another med...   More

  • Apologetics Misunderstood: It Is All About Evangelism (Part One)

By Rick Schenker, President of Ratio Christi

Recently a minister asked me how Ratio Christi was different from other college ministries. I explained that we focused on apologetics—equipping students and faculty with the philosophical, historical, and scientific evidence for why Christianity is true.  His next statement shocked me. He said, “So you are not focused on evangelism like these other campus ministries, right?" “No," I replied, "we are m...   More

    Apologetics–It's About the Conversations

by Rick Schenker, President of Ratio Christi

Do you find most “methods” of evangelism forced and uncomfortable? We all know the Great Commission, yet how many Christians are regularly engaged in making Christian disciples of their family, friends, neighbors and co-workers?  From what I can tell, the average Christian goes year, even decades, without even a single con...   More

  • The Role of the Church in Cult Growth

Cults are growing around the world and especially in the United States. While it is hard to determine an exact number, it is estimated that 20-30 million Americans participate in a cult or some type of occult. Many factors attribute to the growth of cults. Ron Rhodes has attributed this growth to the failure of the church, dysfunctional families, secular humanism, invasion of eastern philosophy, increase in relativism, self-emphasis, emphasis on feelings, etc. The attribute that stands out...   More

God- (monotheistic religions) the supernatural being conceived as the perfect and omnipotent and omniscient originator and ruler of the universe
