from the Boosters Ministry
Hillary Morgan Ferrer was introduced to apologetics at age twelve and has been vocal about its impact of grounding her faith through many trials. She is active in both the intelligent design and apologetics communities. She has taught college prep Biology and Chemistry for five years, and is now pursuing Masters degrees in both biology (Clemson University) and apologetics (Biola University).
In the summer of 2016, Hillary founded "Mama Bear Apologetics," a ministry aimed at equipping moms in apologetics, as well as helping moms understand why it is important for them to be armed with answers to their children's tough questions about the faith. Hillary also currently serves in leadership with Ratio Christi Boosters spearheading the Youth Exodus Project (YEP) along with Julie Loos and Ryan Huxley.
Hillary has been happily married to her husband of ten years Dr. John Ferrer, a full-time teacher, writer, and apologist. Hillary and John minister as an apologetics team empowering and equipping the church to engage in an intelligent Christian faith. Thier monthly "Tough Questions of the Faith" class helps members of the church to answer apologetics questions like "How can there be a good God and so much evil in the world?" or "Was the killing of the Canaanites cruel?"
In addition to marketing, outreach and prayer, Julie oversees the Boosters program and the Youth Exodus Project. She enjoyed an award-winning career as an advertising copywriter and brings those skills to the Ratio Christi team where she helps with communications and public relations. Julie serves on the planning team for Ratio Christi’s television show “Truth Matters” where she has also been a repeat guest. She represents Ratio Christi on the Collegiate Day of Prayer catalyst team and on the Mission America/Love2020 Apologetics/Campus Ministry/Emerging Gen Affinity Sphere team. Well versed in trends on college campuses, Gen Z research, and the history of campus revival, Julie also holds her Certificate in Apologetics from Biola University and her Cross-Examined Instructor’s Academy certificate.
Julie has 17 years of leadership in the Moms in Prayer International Ministry where she currently serves as their National College Groups Liaison. She views herself as an ambassador for prayer and apologetics who can help fuel revival on the college campus. With two college-aged boys, she is passionate to reach the church about the need for apologetics training and prayer for campuses in order to fight the worldview war in both the natural realm and the spiritual realm and to strengthen today’s youth to stand firm in their faith.
Julie Loos lives with her husband in St. Louis, MO. She enjoys studying God’s Word, exercising, reading, gardening, and cooking. You’ll usually find her not far from a cup of coffee and piece of dark chocolate.
Ryan Huxley is a licensed professional engineer (civil and structural) with a BS and MS in Structural Engineering from the University of California at San Diego. He has a Certificate of Study in Christian Apologetics from BIOLA and a Diploma in Christian Apologetics from Dr. Norman Geisler’s Veritas International Institute of Christian Apologetics.
He is the President of the Intelligent Design and Evolution Awareness (IDEA) Center, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping students form IDEA Clubs and promoting intelligent design theory, primarily among students, educators, and churches. Ryan has been interviewed on radio shows, spoken at conferences, universities, churches, taught portions of courses about intelligent design. Most recently he authored the free downloadable PDF discussion and study guides for most of Illustra Media's award winning intelligent design films, such as Unlocking the Mystery of Life, The Privileged Planet, Where Does the Evidence Lead?, Darwin's Dilemma, and Flight. Ryan has been involved with the intelligent design movement since 2002.
Ryan is also the Youth Studies Team Leader for RC Boosters. He has spoken on the Christian youth exodus and helping lead the Youth Exodus Project, which is a collaborative effort between RC and others, with Hillary Ferrer and Julie Loos.
