We have been officially approved by the university! Ratio Christi is the “reason of Christ” (or the "rationality of Christ").  We are not "just another campus ministry" and we quickly recognized the need for a ministry focused on apologetics and worldview development that would complement existing student ministries. Ratio Christi does not compete with other Christian ministries.  We are a student apologetic organization on the ASU Tempe campus existing for three main reasons: (1) To strengthen the faith of Christian students and faculty by equipping them to give reasons and evidence for their beliefs, (2) To offer skeptics/agnostics/atheists answers to their objections to the truth claims of Christianity, (3) To host campus wide events featuring Christian thinkers/apologists/scientists/philosophers in lectures/debate/discussions. Our aim is to represent the intellectual viability of the Christian worldview.  Please come back often and plan to join us as we "share why we believe what we believe"!

This organization strives to educate Christians and non-believers alike by hosting weekly meetings that stimulate discussion on the difficult questions about Christianity and life. Come to investigate and discuss the rationality of a Christian worldview.
*No question or viewpoint is off limits for discussion. They will not be written off as unimportant and will be thoroughly investigated.*

Florida State University chapter meets on a regular basis to demonstrate that our faith is logical and rational, and based on good scientific and historical evidence.

Since our goal is to provide well documented evidence for all aspects of the Christian faith, come and ASK BIG QUESTIONS about the faith!

Our focus at the beginning of the Fall 2015 semester is to build friendships with students and listen to their faith concerns before we set an agenda.  When we set an agenda, we may decide to review and discuss videos, call on outside speakers to present viewpoints, or review and discuss a book, etc.  Such options will be discussed at the time, and students will make those decisions!

If a book is to be used as the basis for discussions, books will be provided for all participants.

COME CHALLENGE US TO ANSWER YOUR TOUGHEST QUESTIONS!!

Ratio Christi Georgia State University was founded in January 2014 and is led by Chapter Director Mike Felker.  Mike has been involved in apologetics for over a decade and is passionate about equipping others to defend their faith with gentleness and respect.  There was much time and effort involved in this chapter becoming an official student organization and we are excited to now give students the opportunity to learn more about the truth of Christianity and how to defend it.  Meetings will be held on a weekly basis, which may include a group discussion or guest speaker.  The group discussions are a great way for Christians to learn how to engage their faith as we welcome non-Christians to our meetings.  In fact, we encourage non-Christians to attend, ask questions, and be involved in the conversation.  To learn more about what is happening at Georgia State University, please visit and "like" our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ratiochristigsu

Ratio Christi, a Christian apologetics ministry at Lenoir-Rhyne, has as its primary goal to offer Christian students a chance to learn how to think through intellectual issues that challenge the classic, orthodox, Christian message (like that found in The Apostle's Creed). Students thinking through these issues are confronted with such questions as rationality and the existence of God, the exclusivity of the gospel, the problem of evil, the authority of Scripture, human sexuality, faith and works, and the nature of faith (is it blind, absent of knowledge, or is it evidential?). We have hosted speakers on a whole range of topics from abortion, atheism, postmodernism & free speech, women's rights, violence in the OT, and archaeology and the historical reliability of the OT. The Chapter Director for Lenoir-Rhyne University is Chris Van Allsburg.

Ratio Christi Potchefstroom was started in 2009 by a group of guys appropriately enough living together in Veritas Men's Residence. In the same year they introduced the campus to apologetics by organizing a team of apologists from Southern Evangelical Seminary to lecture all over campus, most notably Dr. Richard Howe. In 2010 they had RZIM speaker John Njoroge training students and in 2010 and 2011 Dr. Michael Licona was their guest, lecturing at various venues across campus and debating Muslim Apologist Yusuf Ismail. Dr. Licona's popularity became evident when the theological faculty offered him the position of external research collaborator, which he accepted. They host regular events with local apologists and have monthly meetings. They currently operate under the leadership of Danie Malan and Mathabo Baase and any contact details and event information can be attained through their Facebook group Ratio Christi - PUK

In spring of 2009, a group of Ohio University students decided to form a community to respond to intellectual attacks on the Christian faith. The resulting group, which they called Christian Engineers and Scientists, discussed apologetics-related topics at weekly meetings with the goal of encouraging and equipping each other. The leaders of CES joined forces with Ratio Christi in fall of 2010, hoping to gain resources and assistance in carrying out their vision of teaching OU students how to defend their faith. Past studies have covered the material presented in The Case for Faith (Strobel), The Truth Project, On Guard (Craig), the Screwtape Letters (Lewis), Cold-Case Christianity (Wallace), and others. This semester, the group is studying True U, a DVD series taught by Dr. Stephen Meyer which covers a variety of apologetics topics.

In addition to continuing the tradition of weekly meetings focused on apologetics training, Ratio Christi at Ohio University hosts several guest lecturers to start on-campus intellectual discourse on important issues. Past speakers have included Dr. Chris Hook of the Mayo Clinic, Scott Klusendorf of Life Training Institute, Dr. David Berlinski of the Discovery Institute, and Frank Turek of CrossExamined, among others.

Ratio Christi seeks to encourage and strengthen the faith of Christian students at secular and liberal institutions across the country, while also sharing Christ’s message and love to those that have yet to receive it, through the use of intellectual investigation and apologetics. Ratio Christi believes that Christians have failed to address the pressing questions of worldview, science, philosophy, history, etc. Consequently, the Secular Humanist worldview has overtaken the university and the minds of students. By situating apologetic clubs at universities across the nation, we hope to take part in the battle for the mind and begin to reverse the Humanist trend of thought by providing and equipping students with the answers, or means of getting the answers, to the pressing questions of life.

Our chapter of Ratio Christi is made up of members of Stockton University. Our purpose is to spread the message of the Gospel on the campus and we do so through use of evidence. So many people believe that faith is simply believing in what you do not have evidence for, and we are there to challenge that view. We believe that there is evidence for our faith and we seek to prove it using facts, logic, philosophy, science and more. We interpret the Lord's commandment to worship the Lord God with all our "mind" literally and we seek to do that by "always being ready to give a defense for the hope that is in us, doing this with gentleness and respect." (1 Peter 3:15b) It is our hope that God will use our time on this campus to bring about revival in the hearts of college students, that there will be a turning of hearts back to Him. In this dark world Christ shines through us so that all may see and believe that we have a faith that is true, believable and reasonable. No more blind faith, but faith as reason to trust what we know is true.

Ratio Christi at Toccoa Falls College began in the spring semester of 2012 under the leadership of Thomas Loghry, student founder and club president. Following a successful first semester in which the club was able to bring in Ryan Huxley of the I.D.E.A center to give a lecture on Intelligent Design to fifty TFC students, the TFC chapter now enters the 2012 fall semester with even greater drive and inspiration.

As Toccoa Falls College is a Christian institution, the goals and challenges facing this club are uniquely different from those chapters on secular campuses. In an effort to break through the Christian bubble that prevents students from engaging with opposing worldviews, this chapter’s goal will be to address doubts in the Christian faith that might be hidden out of fear of rejection and to train Christian students how to effectively give reasons for the hope that is within them in a loving, gentle, and respectful manner.
