- When did you come to Christ as Lord and Savior, and how did that come about?
I really came to know the King of all Kings in college but I put my faith in Jesus at a very young age in prayer with my mom!
- In your high school church youth group, how much did you learn about the Christian faith and reasons to believe?
Not that much! We learned a lot about the biblical text but less about apologetics and reasoning for the faith! However, I did attend a Christian high school where I took an apologetics/christian philosophy course my junior (shoutout Mr. Mueller)
- How did you become interested in apologetics, and how did you get involved with Ratio Christi?
I’ve always been a curious guy, and I started to do more research about my own faith in college through Ratio Christi while also chatting with other friends of different faiths (Muslims and Mormons); my former roommate is LDS so I had many conversations with him as well as with missionaries, which sparked my interest even more for comparative religions and cults.
- What impact has the Ratio Christi College Prep ministry had on your walk with God and your personal ministry?
Ratio Christi has been life changing to me in a way in which I have been forced to get out of my bubble of comfort into a world that needs shepherds and defenders of the Word. I’ve sharpened many skills (communication and argumentation), but I’ve met friends who have held me accountable and strengthened me as a disciple of Christ! 1 Tim 4:12 and Pro 27:17
- What is this RC chapter like?
This RC is small but mighty! The mysterious works God has been doing in our chapter our beyond my comprehension and our members are some of the most committed, dedicated, steadfast, and firm followers of truth!
- What were some of your favorite areas of involvement with your local RCCP chapter?
Some of my favorite areas of involvement in my local RC include the evangelism events we hold on Tuesdays on our student union plaza as well as doing a mission trip to Utah.
- What does the your Legatus Christi award mean to you?
The Legalus Christi award to me means that I’m hopefully doing something right in making His Name known! Our calling as all believers is the Great Commision (Matt 28). God has annointed each believer (1 John2:20 and Romans 8:28) He loves with different gifts and talents to make His Glory all the more known, and I truly hope the blessings He has poured over my life continue to bless others as I have witness substantially.
- How do you envision taking the apologetics you have learned through Ratio Christi into your future endeavors?
Heading into vet school in due time (next fall fingers crossed), I pray to God that I would continue to spark debates and discussions amongst my peers in high academia to channel interest about the claims of Jesus and what He means for each and every one of their lives . I pray that I would be used as the broken vessel I am to proclaim his Glory through my growing knowledge of Him!
- What are your short and long-term career/ministry/mission plans? 10. Would you consider coming back to work with your RC chapter, starting one at another school, or working with RC in any other capacity?
100%. Period. God willing, however He deems pleasing, I would love get involved with a RC in the future whether that be the one I’m at now or one that is closer to my place of work in the next years! Students of this and the coming generations are going to be shaking the Earth with revival and I want to be apart of that movement!
- What would you say to other students who might be considering getting involved in Ratio Christi, whether they be skeptics, seekers, or believers?
You may not know a lot or think you want to get involved, but I would strongly urge EVERYONE to get involved with an RC. Not only do you meet brothers and sisters for life but you get to be a witness to the moving of the Almighty on the college campus! RC will challenge and strengthen your beliefs so that you will be equipped and armored for when your faith is tested- and you will be glad knowing that you made another think about and strengthen their own 😉
