Symposia Christi 2018: "Do You Matter? Says Who?"

Ratio Christi

Date: Feb. 02, 2018 - Feb. 04, 2018

Location: Lafayette, Indiana

The theme touches on the question of human significance in an age of insecurity, gender dysphoria, confusing virtue identities, science outpacing bioethics, future shock, techno-isolation, and more. There will be breakout seminars by university faculty and others including one couple who has adopted so-called snowflake 'children', frozen embryos. These occur on Saturday morning and early afternoon February 3rd. All sessions have time for Q & A.

The keynote speaker for the Friday evening main event at 7:00 pm Eastern time in the Purdue Loeb Playhouse is Professor Scott Rae. Live Stream of this event will be available at

There is a University Faculty Luncheon on Friday in the Purdue Memorial Union where Professor Rae will address faculty on education, Christian worldview, their vocation, and some application introduction, invitation, in anticipation of his presentation that evening.

The Purdue Symposia Christi also has approximately six Christian "Professors who are Confessors" who will share 3- or 4-minute summary statements on the importance of their commitment to Christ and how they view and do their academic calling. This is always a highlight for graduate, international, and undergraduate students and is typically part of the Live Stream as well.
