Ratio Christi is seeking mature Christian leaders for the role of Regional Director for many areas throughout the country. Regional Directors provide oversight, encouragement, training, support, guidance, and discipleship to the Ratio Christi university apologists. Initiates/oversees regional strategic planning, partnerships, and growth. Must be experienced manager with desire to develop leaders, have good organizational skills, and exhibit excellent relationship building capacity. Willing to travel regionally. Extensive training in apologetics not necessary (though helpful) as long as candidate has deep appreciation for and desire to expand the apologetics movement. 3/4 to full time paid missionary position (support raising required) depending on region. Excellent position for semi-retired pastor, parachurch ministry staff member seeking new directions, or other ministry leaders looking for a new challenge assisting a vital, innovative, and rapidly growing ministry. 

Synopsis

Provide oversight of RC regional university staff through service, care, encouragement, support, guidance, and problem solving. Also initiate and oversee regional strategic planning, partnerships, and growth.

Structure

  • Reports directly to the VP of Campus Operations and ultimately to the Board of Directors as represented by the President/CEO
  • Work with other RC staff, Regional Directors, and consultants
  • Serve the regional staff and students of Ratio Christi in order to enhance their productivity and commitment to Christ. Ratio Christi believes that servant leadership is the appropriate model for the entire organization.

Details

  1. Maintain a consistent and growing walk with Christ
  2. Raise funds for personal ministry
  3. Work with Chapter Directors (CDs) at least once a year to establish goals and priorities
  4. Check back with CDs at end of year to review goals and priorities
  5. Monthly contact with each CD by phone
    1. Encouragement
    2. Listening
    3. Identify needs
    4. Early identification of new opportunities (communicate elsewhere in RC)
    5. Early warning system for problems
  6. Annual visit to each CD and attend group meeting
  7. Identify chapter needs and see that they are met to the fullest extent possible. either directly, through RC leadership, peer mentoring, or outsourcing
  8. Identify training needs in particular, and pass them along to RC leadership
  9. Communicate the following to NFD monthly:
    1. The chapter director’s walk with Christ
    2. Numbers of students involved [need to discuss approach to this]
    3. Students making progress toward Legatus Christi
    4. Any relevant issues
    5. Training needs
    6. Encouragement needs
    7. Events rundown (planned or recent)
    8. Financial health of each chapter
    9. Financial health of CDs, esp. supported missionaries
    10. Whether the chapter is up to date on website, social media, and RC provided tools (refer to documentation)
    11. Identify target universities for expansion and coordinate personnel
    12. Work with RC National staff to identify, recruit, interview, and place CD's, assistants, and other needed personnel
    13. Understand and utilize the RC staff vetting and chapter forming process (trained and competent on the use of the CRM)
  10. Strategic planning and partner development (churches, individuals, organizations)
