Casey Luskin is an attorney with graduate degrees in science and law, giving him expertise in both the scientific and legal dimensions of the debate over evolution. He earned his B.S. and M.S. in Earth Sciences from the University of California, San Diego, where he studied evolution extensively. His law degree is from the University of San Diego. Luskin works as Research Coordinator at Discovery Institute, helping scientists and educators to investigate intelligent design. He is also co-founder of the Intelligent Design and Evolution Awareness (IDEA) Center (www.ideacenter.org), a non-profit helping students to investigate evolution by starting “IDEA Clubs” on college and high school campuses.
Casey has lectured widely on ID at universities and churches, and has co-authored multiple books, including Traipsing into Evolution, Science and Human Origins, and Discovering Intelligent Design. He has published in both technical law and science journals and has commented in hundreds of interviews, including the NY Times, LA Times, Nature, Christianity Today, NPR, CNN.com, C-SPAN, and Foxnews. Luskin is a senior editor Salvo magazine, and regular contributor to Evolution News & Views and the ID the Future Podcast. Casey and his wife live in the Seattle region, where they enjoy hiking, camping, kayaking, and other outdoor activities.
