Geoffrey S. Morrow is the director of the Outdoor Education Center (OEC) and an instructor in the Department of Physical Education, Sport & Human Performance (PESH) at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. In 2007, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Winthrop, receiving his B.S. degree in Fitness & Wellness with a concentration in outdoor leadership. He returned to Winthrop and in 2009, received a M.S. degree in health-related physical education. During his graduate studies, Mr. Morrow served as a graduate assistant in the PESH Department and interim coordinator of the Outdoor Education Center. Upon completing his M.S. degree, he joined the PESH faculty as the OEC director.

In addition to his responsibilities as OEC director, Mr. Morrow teaches several activity and outdoor education courses offered within the department’s Basic Instruction Program, coordinates the Winthrop Outdoor Rentals program, and serves as the faculty advisor for the Physical Education Majors (PEM) Club. He has given multiple presentations at various professional conferences and has reviewed and designed research in the area of team-building and group cohesion in interscholastic athletics. A native of Frostproof, Florida, Mr. Morrow has lived in Clover, South Carolina since 1992. Since 2003, he has worked as a seasonal (summer) employee of the National Park Service. Mr. Morrow is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys sharing his passion for life in the great outdoors with his students!
