“Who am I, O Sovereign Lord, and who is my family that you have brought us this far?” (2 Sam 7:18). Dr. Mark Eckel serves as Ratio Christi’s Director of Professor Ministries. Mark has served the education community for over 30 years as a high school teacher, college instructor, grad professor, curriculum writer, and international speaker. He continues to teach for various institutions.

Dr. Eckel has written and contributed to multiple books and his published curricula are used worldwide. He has authored dozens of journal and encyclopedia articles. He is a book editor, a weekly radio host; his website houses 1000 essays, podcasts, and video teachings. Dr. Eckel is a featured speaker, writer, lecturer, and consultant on faith-learning integration, worldview, culture, media, apologetics, and education. Mark is an ordained minister with earned degrees in Old Testament (ThM) and social science (PhD), while working on another graduate degree in English. Mark’s wife Robin is a second grade Christian school teacher. They have two grown children and four grandchildren. Mark and Robin are members of and contribute their gifts to Crossroads Community Church in Fishers, Indiana. He also serves as president of The Comenius Institute, shepherding students and faculty on the campus of IUPUI.
