Tom Griffin graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a major in Marketing. He has 40+ years in technology sales, marketing and management, consulting and entrepreneurship and is currently a management consultant.
For more than seventeen years, Tom has focused his non-business career on Christian apologetics through various ministries. He is in his thirteenth year teaching fifth grade Sunday School at his church, First Baptist Church in Peachtree City, Georgia, where he teaches apologetics and also delivers apologetics training to middle school and high school youth, missions teams and adult Life groups. Additionally, he built the Georgia initiatives for Ratio Christi, the leading Christian apologetics organization with 200 discussion clubs on college campuses around the country and the world. He was the initiating co-producer for Ratio Christi TV's broadcast Truth Matters, which produced 177 episodes in 2017, and continues now as the show's Syndication Manager in its second year. Most recently, he has added the role of Operations Manager for Ratio Christi College Prep, RC's outreach to high school students.
He is currently enrolled in graduate classes at Southern Evangelical Seminary finalizing his Master of Arts in Religion (MAR) by May 2018 and Master of Arts in Apologetics (MAA) thereafter. Tom made two presentations at the National Conference on Christian Apologetics in 2015 and 2016. The first was on tolerance/political correctness to support his fictional novel titled The Last Premise, a geopolitical thriller with a mix of politics, special ops, romance and a large dose of apologetics as apocalypse approaches. The second was a presentation of whether the founders of America were Christian.
Most recently, Tom published a four year apologetics curriculum through Athanatos Publishing called Apologetics for Tweens. This unique work is for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders with over 50 weekly scriptural and apologetics lessons in each curriculum. It is based on his many years teaching at his church and designed for homeschool teachers, youth pastors, Sunday School teachers, parents and grandparents to help them address questions and doubts about Christianity for 10-14 year olds. In March 2018 he presented the need for ‘Tweens’ apologetics as a speaker and exhibitor to the Great Southeast Homeschool Convention in Greenville, SC. Several dozen churches, youth pastors and homeschool teachers have already implemented his curriculum.
Tom is single, lives in Peachtree City, Georgia and has a 21 year old son Daniel, who is a graduate of Valdosta State in Georgia with a major in Theater Performance and minor in Voice Performance.
Raised Christian but ignored God for decades as an adult due to doubts and agnostic beliefs. Born again after a period of personal and financial difficulty. Then found apologetics and after 16 years still studying, learning, teaching apologetics. Twelve years teaching apologetics to fifth grade students.
