Mark Buono

My wife’s name is Rebecca, and we have been married for 39 years.  We met in Manhattan Kansas when I was in graduate school at Kansas State University where I earned my master’s and Ph.D. in chemical engineering. We then moved to Michigan where I earned my MD and Rebecca earned her bachelor’s degree both from the University of Michigan- go blue! Our idea of an interesting date is going to buy chickens at Rural King. Rebeccas ministry is serving and being nana to many young children of our interns, pastors and deacons.  She is amazing. I often (almost daily) I come home to a house full of kids some of whom I know:)

I grew up in NYC and was never going to own one animal. Rebecca LOVES animals. So now we run a farm with 200 chickens, 15 head of cattle, 3 goats( don’t ask me why), 10 dogs and many barn cats. We have three children.  Our oldest, Nick, is married to Elisabeth.  Nick is finishing his MDIV at Faith Bible Seminary and Elisabeth is working on her degree in microbiology.

Our oldest daughter is Gianna, and she graduated from Purdue University with a degree in horticulture and works at a florist shop in West Lafayette where she lives with college girlfriends.  Our youngest daughter Olivia is a senior in high school at Liberty online University and has been accepted into the Purdue University animal science program. She works two jobs in a vet clinic and also with a Christian dog trainer in Lafayette.
