Robert C. Davis

Rob Davis has a 40-year career in banking and finance beginning with NBD Bancorp (now JP Chase) and Comerica Bank. In 1999 he helped found Nexseer Capital (formerly CG Commercial Finance), acting in various management capacities including Chief Credit Officer. Nexseer is a leading independent equipment financing firm specializing in mid-to-large size finance transactions for essential use assets across a wide array of industries. In 2016 Nexseer was acquired by Atalaya Capital, where Rob continues with a 3-member executive team. In 2025, Rob and his two partners successfully completed a buyout of Nexseer.

BA in Economics and Business Administration from DePauw University, Greencastle, IN including European Urban Studies in England, the Netherlands and the former Yugoslavia. Accounting & finance graduate studies at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, and University of Michigan.

Rob came to faith in Christ when in college a fellow student shared CRU’s 4 Spiritual Laws with him. He has a passion for Christian education, discipleship, and evangelization. He has taught Bible studies at the junior high, senior high, and adult levels, serving at Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church, Bloomfield Hills MI, Newport Vineyard, and Calvary Chapel ministries in Orange County, CA. Seeking to advance the gospel everywhere, Rob currently serves on The Pocket Testament League Board and continues to support the persecuted church through multiple ministries including Open Doors International, Frontlines International and The Pocket Testament League.

Rob and his wife, Kim, have been married since 1989. Kim continues her career as a primary-school special education teacher. They have three adult sons. Rob enjoys memorizing the Bible, following politics, music and playing keyboard, road cycling, and golf.v
